I can't believe it is this time of year already. Where does time go? Well, the ISTEP test is coming up again. The spring test will be administered a little differently than the fall one used to be. They split it up in sections. So....the first week of March (3/2-3/6) we will be taking the extended response sections. This includes the writing prompt, literature responses, math story problems, and this time around they are also taking a science test as well. So definitely a busy week!

Then in April/May they will be taking another week of ISTEP. This will include the multiple choice sections of the test in math, science, and language arts.

So....needless to say, next week we are beginning to do some ISTEP prep stuff while continuing to work on our normal curriculum stuff as well. Homework over the next two weeks will mostly consist of a few sample ISTEP story problems, sample writing prompts, sample science questions, and sample stories and literature response questions from previous ISTEP tests.
