4th of July

I love this holiday! Unfortunately, it also marks that our summer is almost halfway over!! Can you believe how fast our time off is going? Is anybody going to see fireworks this weekend? I hope we go somewhere, but we aren't for sure yet. My favorite ones are the big, purple ones that spread across the sky. What are your favorite ones?

Sorry!

I am so sorry I didn't post last week! We went to Florida and I thought I would be able to post from there. However, we drove and drove and kept driving out onto this peninsula. When we finally reached our condo we had no Internet or cell phone service. It was like we were in the middle of nowhere. It was so much fun though! We had a beautiful beach and it was never busy so we had the whole beach almost to ourselves. There was only two restaurants within 15 minutes of us. It was very relaxing.

While we were there we built a sand octopus, went shark fishing, and swam everyday!

So...what has everyone been up to? Has anyone gone on vacation? Or is anybody getting ready to go on vacation?

Hello Everyone!

Well I don't know about everyone else...but my weeks are flying by! We have already been out of school for almost two weeks! I hope the summer slows down a little bit. Has everyone been keeping busy? We have been. We celebrated Brian's birthday last week, then we had a graduation party last weekend, and we have been packing all week because we leave for Florida on Friday! I am taking my camera along and hopefully will post some pictures when we get home. I am also hoping to check our blog next week...so keep commenting....it is fun to hear from you guys!

I went into school this week and our classroom is already cleaned up! We have new bigger desks and bigger chairs also. It really looks like a fourth grade classroom! I have seen that several of you have started on your packets...way to go! Even if you get done with your packet, please continue to read and write all summer...be creative!

Well I want to hear what everyone has been up to. Has anyone gone on any vacations? Is anyone planning to go anywhere fun? What has been the most fun thing about the summer so far?

Checking In...

Hey Everyone!

I am just checking in to see how everyone is doing. It sounds like some of you are already having a very busy summer! Brian and I just got back from Cincinnati. We had a great time and great weather. I posted some pictures of the Great American Ballpark below.

Has everyone started on the packet? If you do a little bit each week it won't seem as much...so don't save it all until the end!!

In the packet there is a page of topics to write about in your Writers Notebook. Has anyone picked one yet? I would love to see some of the things you have written! So go ahead and post one or two of the things you have written about. If you have picked any of them yet, then go ahead and pick one now!
