Our class will be "adopting" a child (or children) for Christmas this year! We have done this in the past and it has been very successful. The kids learn a great deal about giving to others who are in need. We try to raise money as a class. We do this by having little "fundraising events" each day. For a small price (ranging from 25 cents to a dollar) students can participate in PJ day, read anywhere, shoes off in the classroom, eat with the teacher, game time, buy a small snack, etc. With the money we raise we will purchase items for a child. Then at the Christmas party the students will participate in wrapping these items!

Please mark December 16th on your calendar as our Christmas Party day.....everyone is welcome to join the fun!
Today the students will be given a letter explaining this in more detail along with a calendar of fundraising events taking place over the next few weeks. Thank you Brenda for organizing and planning this event! I know it takes a lot of time and effort, but it is well worth it!!
