Young Author's Day is next Thursday, April 14th. Your child's Young Author's book will need to completed by this day in order to participate in the day's activities. We have been working on them since early last week throughout this week. Some of their book will have to be completed at home. Please be sure to ask your child about the progress of their book. 
Next week third grade will be taking practice ISTEP online. ISTEP will be taken the week of April 25th. Third grade will be taking this mulitple choice section online (similar to the way we take NWEA). The state offers a practice test to allow the students and teachers to become familiar with the test and the way it will look. We will take a practice test next week and the following week....so a total of two practice ones before the real one. PTO is also asking for dontated snacks for ISTEP week. They are asking parents to donate 2 dozen snacks (crackers, granola bars, etc.). PTO will then purchase additional snacks to make up the difference needed. I had some extra snacks donated last time, so I have taken those to the PTO.
